Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intra-day:

During previous intraday the Nifty made a high of 6743 and low 6701. After making an intraday range of 42 points, the Share Bazaar closed up 16 points at 6715. On the last trading day, European indices were down. FTSE was down 24 points, CAC was down 35 point, and DAX was down 62 points. US markets were down. Dow Jones closed down 130 points, S&P 500 was down 17 points, and Nasdaq was down by 57 point.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:

Yesterday, FIIs bought Rs. 46 crores in cash segment while DIIs sold Rs. 56 crores in cash. FIIs sold Rs. 444 crores in Index futures and FIIs sold Rs. 635 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs sold Rs. 195 crores and in stock options FIIs bought Rs. 25 crore. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI.

Options Segment Activity:

In f&o market, May series options data tells that, Nifty 7200 call adds 4.5 lac shares and Nifty 6800 call sheds 2.2 lac shares. Nifty 6800 put sheds 1.8 lac shares and Nifty 6500 put adds 2.3 lac shares. Maximum 38.5 lac shares are outstanding at 7000 call and 43.3 lac shares at 6500 put. According to options data, bulls/bears are building their positions for election results.

Currency Market:
In the currency market the USDINR closed at 60.11. The INR was strong by 0.10 paisa.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading negative. Nikkei is up 323 points, Hang Seng is down 225 points, Taiwan is down by 45 points, and Kospi is down by 15 points.
